The place of birth on Census Records in the United States shows "Prussia"/Guylene. There are many Maria Catherine Freitag with varient spellings in the IGI for Germany. The only one I found with Heuchelheim,Oberhessen,Hessen was for Maria Freitag born 6 Jun 1787 and Christend 7 Jun 1787. Parents were George Eberhard Freitag and Maria Elizabeth Schneider. Baptism :25 May 1972 Provo; Endowment 6 Jul 1972 Provo and Sealed to Parents 14 Jul 1972. I do not know if she is the correct person./Guylene
Farmer: Believe he came to the United States about 1820, shortly after William was born.
He is the 3rd Great grandfather of Guylene Cox.
He came to America when 2 years old with his parents. He lived in Chester County, Pennsylvania for a time. There are many questions about him and his family. Had a note that Patrick had a daughter married to a NUREL ( don't know the source). Would this be the correct family of "our" Patrick Mahan? His daughters Mary, Martha and Anne were married before he died. There is one note that he died 8 Aug 1871 (not sure about this) Was he married to an Elizabeth? Now thinking that he was married 3 times./Guylene Cox June 2003.
Later settled in Indiana County,Pa . How could he have a wife Nancy at the Presbyterian church in 1827 if Mattie Mary were still living at that time? Do we have the correct people linked?
Never married; died at age 63.
Listed as Blair in his father's obituary.
Believe his father could be Samuel Kenly born abt 1763 of Deer Creek Hundred,Hartford, Maryland and his mother Jean or Jane Willson bor about 1767 of same place. This couple had a daughter Mary or Polly Kenley or Kenly born 1789 at same place and died 1872 and was buried at Poke Run Cemetery, Westmoreland,Pennsylvania.
