He was from New Jersey. Moved to Derry Twp., Westmoreland County. Later he moved to Indiana County and had a smithy. About 1804 he moved to Eastmahoning Twp., Indiana County. In 1820 he built the Ayers House. (This is found in an Historical Book written by Clarence D.Stephenson.)
