I'm presuming that Thomas and Belinda didn't leave Pendleton Co. until after Rawdon (who was born in Pendleton Co.), so Leula should've been born in the same county her parents were born in and in which this census was taken. (Census says "Kentucky" was her birthplace.)

Originally thought Joseph Skidmore was the father of Welch - but Internet Research and genealogies of others say that James is the father. (see Ancestors of Frary Ball web page, and work of Frank Skidmore (ordering his CD for verification information July 6, 2001))
Need to Verfiy that James Skidmore born 1732 is this James' father - dont' have firm connection established.
This information was about Joseph Skidmore, born 1761 in Beaufornt, Virginia
I had his temple work done thinking he was truly Welch's father - baptised 27 January, 2001 in San Diego
Married 8 August 1791 in Lincoln, Ky to Hannah McKinney (b abt 1764 - Hustonville, Lincoln, KY)
Died 4 Feb 1847 in Hustonville, Lincoln, Ky
An Indian Spy
This information came in a letter from Mary Mildred Lowe to Susan Cox in 1999. This is information Aunt Mildred gathered will visiting relatives in Ohio.
Birthdate - originally had only 1761 in VA,
Family search reveiled: actually date, Death DAte and marriage dates (family search did not list Welch as one of their children - could this be an Uncle to Welch, brother to his dad James?)This information was about Joseph Skidmore, born 1761 in Beaufornt, Virginia

Short and stout, with gray eyes and dark brown hair - according to his military registration card dated 1917. He worked as a contractor in Gallinger Construction Company in Massachusetts. (his son, my grandfather, was also a contractor in a Gallinger Construction company in LA)
Name originally thought to be Mary Tetrault based on the memory of a descendant, (Dorothy Ivey) but state records give the name Theresa. (Maiden name unknown.)
A copy of the state's birth record for a Mary Tatro is in my (Sean Cox's) files. The record gives a mother's name and a father's name, but independent confirmation that this is the same Mary is necessary. (An independent account of her birth date would do.)

Census places her birth in 1843
She shows up in the San Marcos, Hays, Texas census married to Elijah P. Ivey, so she was in that area by 1880 and was also married by 1880
What source do we have on this? There was certainly a Cassie, but since the only one I find documented is in the 1880 census, this is not her.
