Thomas Laney

1Guylene Cox, Guylene Cox's Personal Record.
Grandpa Laney liked to sing the song, "Come, Come, Come to the Church in the Wildwood". He sang this the last day I visited him while he was alive; it was a very special emotional and spiritual day for the two of us as we were alone in the upstairs bedroom looking out the window into the woods and he seemed to be longing to see someone. He told me as though he knew for certain that he would not be seeing me again in this life, but that he would see me again. I believed him and pondered this in my heart. When Uncle Merle called to tell Dad that he should come quickly, I knew that Grandpa would not be alive when we got there and I told Dad this. When we arrived, Grandpa was already dead./Guylene.
