A likely match, but some corroboration would be good.

Christian Shoup

1Family Bible - Shoup.
"<Page 1>
The following is the record of the children of Martin Schaub, Jr., and wife Sophie Bott, translated from the German in the old Bible;
"In the year of our Lord Jesus Christ 1755, Feb. 12, I, Martin Schaub, and my wife, Sofie Bott, were blessed with a son and we gave him the name of George. His birth witnesses were when the Moon was in the Fish (Pisces) ad the Woman (Virgo) was in the Waterman (Aquarius)
"Again the Lord blessed us, in 1757, Feb. 15, with a little daughter and we gave her the name of Catharine. Her birth witnesses were when the Moon (Luna) was in the Bull (Taurus), the Woman (Virgo) in the Scale (Libra), and Venus in the Crawfish (Scorpio).
"In 1758, the 8th day of July, the Lord again blessed us with a little son and we gave him the name of Peter. His birth witnesses were the Lion (Leo) in the Moon (Luna) and Sun.
"In 1760, the 9th of March, we were blessed with a daughter and we named her Elizabeth. She died.
"In 1762, 2nd winter month, a son was born to us and we called him Christian. The Sun ran in the sign of the Scorpion.
"In 1765, the 12th of April, again a daughter was born and we gave her the name of Sophie. Her birth witnesses were the Moon in the Maiden, the Sun in the Lion, and Jupiter in the Crawfish.
"In 1767, the 13th day of April, a son was born and we named him Henry. When he was born the Moon was in the Twins (Gemini), the Sun in the Scale, Venus in the Crawfish, Jupiter in the Maiden, and Mars in the Lion.

<Page 2>
"In 1769, the 20th of April, the Lord blessed us once more with a little son and we named him Martin. When he was born the Moon was in the Ram (Aries), the Sun in the Scale, Jupiter in the Bowam (Sagittarius). Mars in the Scorpion, and Saturn in the Scale."."

2Family Bible - Shoup.
"<Page 1>
The following is the record of the children of Martin Schaub, Jr., and wife Sophie Bott, translated from the German in the old Bible;

<Page 2>

SHOUP vs SHUCK - for Title to Land dtd 26 Jan 1811
Martin SHOUP, deceased; 1762 property Shoup's Choice
s/ George
s/ Christian
Christian SHOUP with will written 26 Jul 1790, probated 8 Jan 1791
w/ Elizabeth
d/ Elizabeth
and unborn child
Christian's daughter later died intestate and without issue most probably not yet of age. She may have died before her mother gave birth to the then unborn child because her mother named the newborn child Elizabeth also.
Land - Martin's Good Luck, resurveyed on 17 May 1790 for 218 acres
and name changed to Shoup's Conclusion with 1 1/2 acre being a vacancy but he died before the patent was issued.
Christian's widow remarried to Peter SHUCK and they have wanted
to provide her second daughter Elizabeth with her share but have needed the cooperation of Christian's brother, George SHOUP, now living in Ohio, as the land descended to both brothers (George & Christian) from their
father."
