I am distantly related to the Wilsons and Canbys when Samuel Wilson, son of Stephen Wilson and Sarah Eaker Wilson, married Rebecca Canby, daughter of Thomas and Mary Oliver Canby, on March 27, 1730.ene.

Stephen Wilson, b. Brigham Parish, Cumberland, Eng.(?) m. 13 Aug 1692 Sarah Baker.
Son Stephen Wilson, b. 29 Feb 1694, Hopewell, Mercer, NJ. m. 2 Nov 1722 Rebecca Hage/Hague. The story goes that they crossed over the Delaware in the winter to attend church in Bucks County, PA, where a lot of their records are, but they actually lived in New Jersey!
Stephen and Rebecca's son, Samuel Wilson, b. 22 Dec 1729, Hopewell, Mercer, NJ. m. 3 Feb 1751, Sarah (Siddel?)
Their son, Stephen Wilson, b. 29 Jun 1764/5, Hopewell. m. 13 May 1784, Martha Scott. Stephen married again and d. 14 Nov 1847 in Clark County, Ohio. His other family has been researched by Nancy Schiffhauer of upstate NY, and we have a lot of the children's info.
Stephen and Martha's son, William Wilson, b. 20 Aug 1795. m. 17 Oct 1816 Elizabeth Nichols.
Elizabeth and William Wilson's daughter, Elizabeth Wilson, b. 16 Jul 1834, Purcellville, Loudoun, VA. m. 21 Feb/May 1861 to William Gregg. These are my great-great-grandparents.
