Working off the idea that S. A. Cox here is Sarah Ann Cox. I suspect I may find out that a few of the unknown coxes mentioned here will turn out to be children of this couple.

The line was published in a book, "Heraldic Families of [memory fails me - but either of "Baltimore"or "Maryland"] The part of "Heraldic" in Merrie Olde England was pure forgery! Line "researched" - complete with forged docs - by one Adolph Anjou. More can be found on Anjou at First Families of America website. Rest of it has been fairly well documented - but not by me so can't guarantee anything. There is a very active Shipley Family Association, but I have never joined.
